The festival has been promoting authors and publishing in North Texas for the past 11 years, but this is the first time their showcasing Spanish on its own. The University of Texas at El Paso has named author Erin Coulehan among their “30 Under 30” award for 2016 thanks to her success in publishing, journalism, and philanthropy.
The past September 22-25, the first Festival de Cine Latino Americano took place in Fort Worth, Texas–and Nowadays Orange was present. Alex Garcia Topete was the Director of Programming of the festival, taking charge of selecting the 40 films of the festival’s lineup, including features, documentaries, and outstanding shorts. Here’s hoping for 2017’s festival to be bigger and better!
