About the author

María Teresa Topete Macías was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, in 1952. A communications graduate of ITESO (1976) with a Master’s in Education from the Tec de Monterrey (2013), she is pursuing a doctorate in Communication at the UAT with a thesis on family communication and the mother-child bond. Across her career she has designed communication strategies in health, media, education, and corporate training. She is the author of El Retoño Que Parí, The Sprout That I Sprung, the Kalei2copio series, and ComunicaTTe, among other works in narrative, poetry, and theater.
