Contact — Internships

Intern with us.

Nowadays Orange seeks to foster next generation’s talent, and our adaptive internship program has been and continues to be a key component to that mission.

Creative development

Creative development interns get involved in scripted and unscripted development duties — script reading, coverage, research, notes, and administrative grid upkeep — with plenty of opportunity to observe and participate in development conversations on active and in-development media projects. Common responsibilities: in-depth coverage of incoming scripted and unscripted material; research on development projects and potential IP; notes and creative feedback on scripts in active development; and updating internal lists, databases, and grids.

Media production

Media production interns gain experience across pre-production, production, and post-production — usually with the opportunity to create their own content and build relationships with fellow creators. Common responsibilities: video logging; editing video and sound; research; collecting and organizing media assets; assisting in planning shooting schedules; and participating in production team meetings.

Marketing & sales

Marketing and sales interns gain hands-on experience across B2B, direct-to-consumer, and emerging models spanning the company’s media products and services — for candidates who are ambitious and keenly interested in how data drives marketing decisions. Common responsibilities: market research; analyzing data from multiple sources; taking notes on client communications; and creating audience-targeting spreadsheets.

Communications & social media

Communications interns experience the connection between social-media outreach and the company’s internal operations, goals, and decisions — architecting the audience media production is made to reach. Common responsibilities: writing ad copy for social posts; building content calendars; researching articles and reviews; analyzing campaign data; helping create campaign reports; and creating text overlays for videos and other graphic design.

Distribution & acquisitions

Distribution and acquisitions interns learn the nuts and bolts of getting independent films released into the world, reaching the farthest corners of the globe. Common areas of involvement: research; film festival and theatrical exhibition; deal negotiation; acquisitions research; and festival, theatrical, broadcast, and home-video distribution.

Conditions & requirements

We look for responsible self-starters who want to learn the business, with a preference for those interested in independent film and documentaries. No prior experience is required; enrollment in a related educational program isn’t required but is encouraged. All positions are unpaid internships for professional development, with remote work and flexible hours available, and formal coordination with school and college career programs is possible on request. We tailor each experience to the intern’s interests, passions, and professional aspirations.

Application
